Booking & Payments
How do I book a session with PKYPhotography?
You can book by sending me a message through my contact form or DMing me on social media. Once we confirm a date and package, I’ll send you a short booking form and invoice to secure your session.
How far in advance should I schedule my session?
I recommend booking at least 3–4 weeks ahead, especially during busy seasons like spring and fall.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept online payments such as Facebook Pay, Paypal, and Zelle or cash.
Is a deposit required to secure my date?
Yes — a non-refundable retainer is required to hold your date. The remaining balance is due by the day of your session.
When is the remaining balance due?
Once booked, a due date for the remaining balance will be determined. Please note that the due date will always be BEFORE the shoot.
Session Details
Where do sessions take place?
Most sessions take place in or around Tahlequah, Tulsa, and Vinita, Oklahoma. I have a few favorite outdoor spots I love to recommend, but I’m always open to new ideas! If you have a location in mind, I am more than willing to accommodate! (Please note, some locations may need a photography permit that you will need to cover.)
What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?
We can't control the weather. If it’s raining or storming, we’ll reschedule for the soonest available date. Overcast skies are totally fine — they make for beautiful lighting! If this is an event, sometimes we will make do with what we have!
How early should we arrive to our session?
Try to arrive about 10–15 minutes early so we can start right on time and make the most of your session. Please arrive earlier if you are planning to get ready at the shoot.
Can I bring friends, family, or pets to my session?
Yes, absolutely! I love when loved ones (furry ones included 🐾) join in — they often help you relax and bring out genuine smiles. Just let me know ahead of time so I can plan poses and time accordingly. If you’re booking a solo session but want to include a few group shots, we can definitely make that happen!
Do you travel outside of Tahlequah?
Yes! I’m happy to travel within a 30-mile radius. Anything beyond that may include a travel fee.
Editing & Delivery
How long does it take to receive my photos?
Galleries are typically delivered within 2–4 weeks after your session (up to 6 weeks during busy seasons).
How many photos will I get?
Each package has a set number of edited photos. If you’d like to purchase additional photos from your session, just let me know — extra edits are available for an additional fee.
Will all my photos be edited?
Yes — all final photos are fully edited in my signature style. I don’t deliver unedited or RAW images.
Can I request additional edits or retouching?
Yes! All final photos are professionally edited in my signature style, but if you’d like extra retouching or specific edits, I’m happy to accommodate! Just let me know what you have in mind! Additional charges may apply.
Do you offer prints or albums?
Not currently at this time! Please let me know if you would be interested and I may offer it in the future.
Rescheduling & Cancellations
What happens if I need to reschedule or cancel?
Life happens! Just let me know at least 48 hours in advance (or as soon as possible), and we’ll find a new date that works. If you choose to cancel, please note that your non-refundable retainer at booking will not be refunded!
What if you (the photographer) can’t make it to the session?
In the rare case I have to reschedule due to an emergency or illness, I’ll contact you right away and make sure you get a new date or a full refund of your retainer.
Can I transfer my session to another person?
In most cases, yes! If you can no longer make your session, you may transfer it to another person as long as the session type and date remain the same. Just reach out to me ahead of time so I can update the booking details.
Rights & Usage
Do I get printing rights to my photos?
Yes — all packages come with a print release so you can print your photos wherever you like.
Can I post the photos on social media?
Absolutely! I just ask that you tag or credit PKYPhotography when you share them.
Will my photos be shared on your website or social media?
Sometimes I feature sessions on my website or social media. If you’d prefer your photos to remain private, just let me know and I’ll respect your wishes.
Other Common Questions
What should I wear for my session?
I always recommend soft, coordinating colors and avoiding large logos or neon tones. But this is YOUR session! Wear whatever you like! If you need help, send me your ideas and I can help you plan accordingly!
Can I bring props or special items?
Yes! Props like flowers, blankets, or meaningful keepsakes help personalize your session. Just let me know beforehand so I know what to expect!
Do you photograph weddings or elopements?
I currently offer event coverage and intimate wedding packages. Feel free to message me for a custom quote!
